What is the N.E.W.B.A.?The N.E.W.B.A. stands for the North Eastern Wisconsin Bikers Association Inc. We are an incorporated, not for profit group dedicated to sharing the wonders and excitement of motorcycling. Our goal is not to form a formal club, but instead to gain the volunteer cooperation of individual motorcycle enthusiasts, and to create a network of friends with common interests among the motorcyclist community. Along with sponsoring rides such as the Ice Breaker Run, individual memorial rides, and countless other weekend runs, the N.E.W.B.A. has taken this network and stepped forward by utilizing the skills and ambition of volunteers and members to create the Wisconsin Motorcycle Memorial Park, the first of its kind in the nation. With continued support form volunteers, projects like these will continue to enhance the community for years to come. What is the Wisconsin Motorcycle Memorial park? The Wisconsin Motorcycle Memorial (W.W.M.) park is a place to recognize and honor the memories of friends and loved ones who were motorcycle enthusiasts. Not just those for those who loved to ride, but for everyone who shares a love of motorcycles and motorcycling. The five acre site for the Memorial park was generously leased to the N.E.W.B.A by the Door Devils Motorcycle Club. It is Located at 4758 Mathey Road, Sturgeon Bay. The site is nestled in the quiet Door County Penninsula, an ideal location for the rememberance of loved ones. The arched entrance to the Memorial park welcomes you to the "Walkway of Rememberance", a path paved with tribute stones. This walk wraps around the court yard to make a loop to represent the never ending cycle of life. The walkway itself is created from over 1,000, 9x12" pavers that will be engraved with an individuals' name, age, and special phrase (space premiting) to commemorate their love of motoycycles. |
